Callout: Volunteer Marketing Officer
Central Coast Film Festival is looking for a talented Marketing Officer to join our team of passionate volunteers and work with the festival steering committee. The Central Coast Film Festival is in it's second year and has just been registered as a not-for-profit. The 2025 festival is on the 1-9th November and we would love your help in shaping the event!

Key Responsibilities:
Social Media Management:
Develop and execute social media strategies across platforms (Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, BlueSky) to increase engagement and followers.
Manage the social media calendar, schedule posts, and ensure content aligns with organizational goals.
Monitor trends in art, film, and culture to engage in real-time conversations and maximize visibility.
Assist in providing live event coverage (in-person or remote), capturing photos/videos for real-time posting.
Engage with followers, respond to comments/messages, and foster a positive community experience.
Content Creation:
Produce and curate engaging content (text, images, videos, graphics) for social media, newsletters, and the website.
Assist with basic graphic design using tools like Canva, Adobe Express or Adobe Creative Suite.
Craft compelling copy that reflects the organization’s voice and mission.
Email Marketing:
Assist in creating and scheduling newsletters (Mailchimp), including content drafting and layout design.
Event & Program Promotion:
Support marketing campaigns for festivals, screenings, and special events.
Collaborate with partners, sponsors, and talent to amplify messaging.
Analytics & Reporting:
Track performance metrics (engagement, growth, etc.) and provide insights for improvement.
Desired Skills & Qualifications:
Experience managing social media platforms (personal, academic, or professional).
Strong writing skills with an engaging, adaptable tone.
Basic graphic design, photography, or video editing skills (Canva, Adobe, or mobile apps).
Familiarity with social media analytics and scheduling tools (e.g., Meta Business Suite, Buffer).
Ability to multitask, meet deadlines, and work independently.
Passion for film, arts, and cultural events.
Bonus: Experience with live coverage, influencers, or TikTok/Reels content.
